Priority Journalists: Application

Football's Fight Against Aids. Children in South Africa learn how to protect themselves from catching HIV/Aids through football-related games. Registered Priority Journalists will be able to download images like these from the Image Gallery.

There are now 27 Football’s Hidden Stories on this site. All tell of the positive influence football can have on people’s lives around the world in situations arising from poverty, war, civil strife, physical and mental disability, crime, heath and education. Virtually all the stories have no time-line on them since they are about people rather than events so they may be used at any time in the future. To read brief Story Summaries click here.

If you are a bona fide journalist – whether editor, correspondent, feature writer, sports reporter or freelance - you can access all the stories by registering as a Priority Journalist. Each story also comes with a wide selection of high-quality, high-resolution, captioned photographs which you can easily download. Both stories and photographs are available for reproduction free of charge.

You may rewrite or add a local angle and add your own by-line to any of the stories on condition that they are not used for commercial purposes or linked to any advertising, nor used in any negative context.

Click here to register as a Priority Journalist and, if accepted, you will be allocated a password to enable you to access all the material available. However, please understand that only a limited number of journalists worldwide will be allocated this privilege so we reserve the right to decline applications.

If you wish to register as a broadcaster, please log on to www.footballshiddenstory.com and click on Contact Details/TV. This will enable you to download video news releases, B-rolls and transcripts of the stories.
